Other Activities Throughout the
Year
Fishing
Fishing is allowed from the pier and the revetment over-looking
the Patuxent River. A sports fishing license for persons
over sixteen is required.
Crabbing
Crabbing is allowed from the pier. Only those of legal
size may be kept.
Swimming
Swimming is allowed from the two beach areas only. There
is no lifeguard on duty.
Canoeing/Kayaking
Launching is allowed from the beach areas and Quarter
Creek. Only non-motorized craft allowed.
Hiking/Horseback
Riding/Bicycling
More than 10 miles of trails are available at the park.
The River and Orange trails are open only to hikers.
Picnicking
Several picnic tables and barbeques are available throughout
the park.

Facility
Rentals
Rosedale Manor, Francis Knott Lodge and Quarter Creek
Pavilion along with their immediate grounds can be reserved
for social or business events. Contact the foundation
