Camp Greenwell is an outdoor inclusive camp that serves all children with or without disabilities. Camp is located in beautiful Greenwell State Park which boasts two miles of waterfront, ten miles of hiking trails, agricultural fields, historic barns and more.

Camp Greenwell offers archery, kayaking, swimming, fishing and lots of fun. Campers will learn to conserve and enjoy our natural resources. Camp Greenwell has air-conditioned clubhouses for breaks from the heat.

Each child must bring a water bottle, lunch, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, and a complete change of clothing daily. Children may also wear a swimming suit under their clothing.  Extended care before and/or after camp is available for an additional fee.

Greenwell's Horse Camp is one of Southern Maryland's most popular camps. Ride horses and learn all about care and feeding of our equine friends. Campers will ride once per day with a qualified riding instructor. During the summer of 2010, Horse Camp will focus on improving riding skills.

Horsemanship is emphasized by allowing campers to saddle their own horses, helping care for them, and learning all about horse health. Various horse disciplines will be explored and of course, we will make horse arts and crafts.

Each child must bring a water bottle, lunch, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, and a complete change of clothing daily. Additionally, Horse Campers must wear long pants (jeans are preferred) and a boot with a heel. Children may also wear a swimsuit under their clothing. Extended care before and/or after camp is available for an additional fee.

Horse Camp is open to children ages 7 (as of the beginning of camp) through 12 (as of Sept. 1, 2010)

Kayak Camp is a week of skills and thrills on the river. Campers receive instruction in kayaking and explore the inlets and water near Greenwell State Park. Once per day lessons include stroke improvement, safety, and trip planning. We play lots of games on and off the water and learn about the local environment. "Leave No Trace" is included in our responsible paddling lessons.

Participants kayak every day during this camp; however, the length of time is determined by the average skill of the group. We want campers to enjoy the sport, not be discouraged by fatigue during the week.

Campers should wear their swimsuit under their clothing. Each child must bring a water bottle, lunch, closed-toe shoes (water shoes with laces work best), sunscreen, and a complete change of clothing daily. A hat is also helpful while on the water. Extended care before and/or after camp is available for an additional fee.

Kayak Camp is open to children ages 8 (as of the beginning of camp) through 12 (as of Sept. 1, 2010)

Fishing Camp teaches fishing skills, responsible catch and release, and crabbing. Campers who already enjoy fishing will join those who have never fished in enjoying the beautiful Patuxent River.

We will attempt to find the "sweet spots" along Greenwell’s shores for fishing, learn the "ins and outs" of fishing, and even create some one-of-a-kind fish crafts. We are looking for a few good fishermen and enthusiasts to join us for some summer fun.

Each child must bring a water bottle, lunch, closed-toe shoes, sunscreen, and a complete change of clothing daily. Children may also wear a swimsuit under their clothing. Of course, a lucky fishing hat is always helpful. Extended care before and/or after camp is available for an additional fee.

Fishing Camp is open to children ages 7 (as of the beginning of camp) through 12 (as of Sept. 1, 2010)
